About BodSix

Founded in late 2010, BodSix develops free-to-play mobile games that combine insanely fun social game play with location-based services. BodSix is not just another mobile social game company. Inspired for our love of maps as much as our love for games, we are adding a fun new dimension to games.

We’ve assembled some of the best talent in the game industry from industry veterans in game design and art direction to software engineers with deep server-side and game development expertise.

The company is based in Seattle, WA, and is privately funded.

Jeff DixonJeff Dixon | Founder & CEO

As CEO at BodSix, Jeff Dixon is mostly overhead. Most recently, Jeff worked as VP, Product Development at Recruiting.com (formerly Jobster), where he was responsible for managing the company’s enterprise software and consumer products. Prior to Recruiting.com, Jeff worked at Amazon.com for seven years where he led product management teams for various products inside Amazon’s media, digital media, and third-party seller platform groups.

Jeff holds a bachelor of arts degree in engineering sciences from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business.

Cory OsbornCory Osborn | Founder & CTO

As CTO and lead developer, Cory is responsible for all product developement. Cory has over 15 years of lead software development experience for companies such as Recruiting.com (formerly Jobster), AisleIQ, Twenty-First Century Music, and Involve Technology. Cory has attended the Game Developers Conference (GDC) since 1996 and has served as a Conference Associate Manager for the past 5 years.

Cory studied Computer Science at the University of Nebraska as a Regent’s Scholar and Nebraska High Scholar. He has authored technical articles published in Visual Developer magazine and holds European and Australian software patents with additional United States patents pending.

Richard GarfieldRichard Garfield | Chief Creative Officer

Among the world’s best known game designers, Richard Garfield leads game design. For his first professional game, Magic: The Gathering, Richard was granted the patent on trading card games–now a multi-billion dollar industry worldwide. Since that time, he has produced many award winning trading card games and board games including Netrunner, Robo Rally, What Were You Thinking, and Filthy Rich. In the realm of computer gaming he has been a game designer and consultant for Electronic Arts and Microsoft. Richard was a professor of mathematics at Whitman College before he left to help start Wizards of the Coast, the original publisher of Magic, now currently owned by Hasbro. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania.

George "Skaff" EliasGeorge “Skaff” Elias | Chief Creative Officer

Skaff also supports BodSix’s game design efforts. Formerly, Skaff was a Senior Vice President for Wizards of the Coast, a division of Hasbro where he was responsible for the design and development of many Wizards’ card games and was the primary architect of the Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour and organized play system used for all Wizards products including the Pokemon card game. Skaff was the brand and business manager for Magic: The Gathering during its formative years, taking it almost from launch to a $300 million brand. He has also been contracted to design and develop computer games for Microsoft and Electronic Arts. Skaff received a B. A. in Physics from Princeton University and was studying for his Ph.D. in Mathematics at University of Pennsylvania before leaving to help start Wizards of the Coast.

Kevin McCulloughKevin McCullough | Senior Software Engineer

Kevin is focusing his development attention on the iOS side of BodSix’s top secret project. Kevin recently developed and launched his own iOS game, 9 Colonies, a turn-based science-fiction strategy game. Previously Kevin worked at Apple on Safari and WebKit and at Intuit on QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. Kevin received his BS and MS in Computer Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with his thesis in Genetic Algorithms.

Jason WiserJason Wiser | Art Director

Jason Wiser leads all art direction at BodSix. His published game titles include Slam Bolt Scrappers (PS3) and Dance Central (XBOX/Kinect) and he teaches Animation at The New England Institute of Art in Brookline, MA. Jason has been a contract modeling instructor/consultant at Pixar Studios, an Artist In Residence at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts museum in San Francisco, a contract animator for the ABC Family television show Greek and a ten year veteran of the Game Developers Conference volunteer program, the Conference Associates. Jason received his BA from Wesleyan University and MFA from Emerson College.
